Montserrat Vineyards - Mont Blanc

this white wine comes from a winery about 15 miles from where i grew up in warrensburg, missouri. for a MO wine, it wasn't bad. it reminded me of a sauvignon blanc, but the finish dropped off pretty quickly and was kind of chalky. i don't remember how much i paid for it, but if i lived in MO and had access to this, i would be drinking it all summer.

2005 Tin Roof Sauvignon Blanc North Coast California (CBP)

Another sb I'd drink all summer.  Great price; nice balance of fruit and acidity.  Classic (at least for me) sb--citrusy fruit and crunchy goodness.  I bought six bottles; must get more!

Geyser Peak 2006 Sauvignon Blanc California (CBP)

Most excellent sb; crunchy, citrusy, with nice acidity.  Not a particularly long finish, but I'd drink this all summer.

Kemblefield 2006 Sauvignon Blanc Hawkes Bay New Zealand (CBP)

Very nice sb; more subtle than other typical New Zealand or California sb.  Not a long finish, but a nicely balanced wine.  I expected a little more from a $15 sb, though.
