petite sirah

i am on a petite sirah kick. last night we had a Fenestra PS from Lodi, 2001. really nice, big fruit. tonight another Livermore PS, 2001 Eckert Estate also from Lodi. i love how ripe these grapes are from Lodi. this wine was more acidic than the Fenestra and i think it would benefit from more time in the cellar.

my problem now is that my cellar is dreadfully short of PS, so i need to go shopping. if anyone has ideas of wines I should include give me a hollar. johnpulliam@yahoo.com

Ravens Wood Cab Franc

i'm catching up with this one, so i don't remember the vintage. it was in a clearance barrel at the winery. it was a really nice cab franc, i will definately keep my eye out for this one in the future.
