Rex Hill 2003 pinot noir

Lindsay and Terri brought this bottle over for dinner tonight. it's an Oregon pinot, and was exciting because i haven't had much wine from Oregon. the nose was light and fruity, but the wine tasted more complex than the nose let on...if that makes sense. i think i need to drink more Oregon pinot.

Taz Pinot Noir Santa Barbara 2003

i liked this wine, lightly fruity, oak. dave thought it was over-oaked. i'd probably get it again if it wasn't that expensive.

McManis Viognier 2005

i found this bottle in my fridge, and i have no idea where it came from. but this was a great bottle to open on a warm california spring day. terri thought it tasted more like a savignon blanc than a viognier--either way it was a fruity, clean, ever so slightly sweet wine that i will look for.
